Our Team

We have over 180 staff involved in providing rehabilitation and support services to our clients. We employ Medical Specialists, Registered Nurses, Qualified Support and Coaching Staff, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Clinical and Neuropsychologists, Dietitians and Social Workers. Registered Nursing and Support Staff are on site 24-hours per day, seven days per week and are available for our clients at all times. We work closely with other service providers in the disability services sector to ensure we use resources wisely, share knowledge, and adopt best practices across our continuum.

Chrissie Cope (Chairperson)

Chrissie has been a Trustee since 2011 and is Chair of the LFT Clinical Governance committee, a Trustee on the Laura Fergusson Trust National Board and Director of Laura Fergusson New Zealand.

Chrissie initially qualified as a Registered Nurse; having completed university study as a mature student she has worked in leadership roles across the Health and Disability sectors in both Wellington and Christchurch. Chrissie returned to Christchurch nine years ago and joined St John as Community Programmes Manager, SI Region, working with local communities and volunteers to provide services related to supporting health and well-being in those communities. She currently holds the role of Service Change Manager at St John, and over the past three years has been the St John lead on the multi-agency Christchurch Justice and Emergency Services Precinct project, one of the key government initiatives of the Christchurch re-build.

Chrissie has three grown up children and three grandchildren. In her leisure time she enjoys time with family and friends, travel, keeping fit, and indulging in her passions for art and theatre, food and wine, home and garden.

Bevan is a Pharmacist and owns his own Pharmacy in Barrington, Christchurch. 

Annemarie Mora

Annemarie Mora

Annemarie is an award-winning communications and engagement specialist with nearly 20 years’ experience. 

She brings to the Board table extensive management team experience, robust knowledge of governance policies and procedures, thorough knowledge of Health Safety and Environment best practice, a deep understanding of organisational culture and high-performing teams, astute risk management, financial acumen and fundraising knowledge.

She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors and is planning to become a Chartered Member in the near future.


Trevor Edwards

Trevor was elected as Chairperson in October 2014 and is also a Trustee of  the Laura Fergusson Trust National Board and a Director of Laura Fergusson New Zealand.

Trevor is a Director of a manufacturing business in Christchurch and is the Vice President of the The Manufacturers Network. Prior to returning to Christchurch Trevor was involved in large construction projects in the UK & Europe, from Project financing to Project managing the construction.

Trevor is married with two adult sons and has a keen interest and participation in sports activitie

Kent Yeoman

Kent Yeoman

Kent is a Partner at Mortlock McCormack Law and specialises in commercial and property law. Kent has been with Mortlock McCormack Law since early 2010, when he returned from working for a number of years in London as an in-house solicitor. Prior to that Kent worked for a national law firm in Wellington and started his career in Christchurch at a local law firm. Kent is married and has 3 children ( 2 boys and 1 girl). As all of his children are young he spends a lot of his spare time with them. When he has a chance he enjoys playing social sports (mainly golf and snowboarding these days), and jogging and tramping. He also enjoys travelling to new places, spending time with friends and supporting THFC. Kent joined the Board of LFT in 2013.

Alan MacDonald

Alan MacDonald

Alan has been a Trustee since 2009 and was Chairman from 2011- 2014. He has also been Chairman of the National Board of the Laura Fergusson Trust.

Alan returned to live in Christchurch a few years ago after a career in banking both within New Zealand and overseas. He is currently employed part time as Finance Manager for a small Christchurch company involved in the wind power energy business.

Alan has two grown up married daughters and enjoys time with his family. He is an active member and Treasurer of his local bowling club He is keen on travel and takes an interest in his Scottish heritage being the President of the Canterbury branch of the Clan Donald Association and the vice President of the Clan Donald Association of New Zealand.

Matt Allen

Meet our new Trustee – Mr Matt Allen

We are very excited to welcome Matt to the Board of Trustees in April. Matt is a Director of RCP, a company that leads and manages significant building projects nationally. Matt is also responsible for RCP South Island Operations. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in providing strategic advice on large and complex building projects in Christchurch and nationally. A born and bred Cantabrian, Matt’s dedication and passion is exhibited by his role in the continual rebuild and recovery of Christchurch following the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. Matt regards the chance to influence the future of the city as both a professional and personal privilege.
